In its 11th consecutive year in Golfo San Jorge and with the focus on strengthening businessmen and entrepreneurs, PAE SMEs Program concluded the first half of the year with excellent results. During this period, more than 23,384 training hours were delivered in the form of 140 courses, assistance sessions and different activities attended by more than 1200 representatives from local companies and businesses.The SMEs Program for these first months of the year included, among others, the following training topics: Leadership Development, Communication, Performance Reviews, Sales Techniques, Customer Service, Business Partnerships, Negotiation, Safety, Marketing, IT, and skills training, among others.
All the activities were developed and coordinated with prestigious regional institutions which have partnered with PAE for the SMEs Program, such as Development Agencies, the municipalities of Comodoro Rivadavia, Rada Tilly and Sarmiento; local consulting companies such as Management Patagonia, VS Talent, Infotec, Serial de la Torre, Rodrigo Coria Quintana, Sigma, Gemest, Selecta, and organizations such as IRAM, INTA and IDEA Business School.
These training initiatives seek to satisfy the needs of the small and medium-sized companies in the Basin; in this sense, PAE’s SMEs Program contributes with innovative proposals for different manufacturing and service companies that add value to the hydrocarbon and related industries. The program includes a number of activities in different locations in the south of Chubut, the north of Santa Cruz, and in the provinces of Neuquén and Salta.Moreover, through Garantizar SGR, the company continues financing business projects in the region by means of a loan and guarantee system.
Mario Perón, leader of PAE’s SMEs Program, remarked, “With these activities we ratify our commitment to the SMEs and entrepreneurs in the region. During this first half of the year, the training, assistance and development activities increased by 20% in comparison with the same period in 2015.”Perón also stated, “The activities during this period are reflected in the high turnout and in the presence of SMEs Executives, Middle Management and entrepreneurs during the certificate award ceremony held on July 1st.”
Presence during Comodoro ActivitiesPAE’s SMEs Program also provided support to important initiatives relating to promoting economic diversity in the region. During June, the company was part of Emprender Chubut 2016 in Comodoro Rivadavia and Rada Tilly and in July it sponsored the 4th Edition of the 2016 Mayma Awards for Patagonia in the cities of Comodoro Rivadavia, Rada Tilly, Sarmiento, Trelew, Madryn and in the province of Neuquén.
In the coming months, PAE SMEs Program will continue with a number of pre-planned actions, including: Entrepreneur Growth Program Meeting, Workshop on Environmental Management, Planning, Leadership and Organizational Awareness Tools, Project Management, and Skills Training.
