In 2017 Pan American Energy (PAE) is renewing its commitment to the development of the Golfo San Jorge region by supporting the Municipality of Rada Tilly and the local institutions that promote sports activities and a healthy lifestyle.
As it has done in previous years, PAE is sponsoring the Tenth Hockey Beaches Championship, organized by the Rada Tilly Yacht Club. The event has been declared of municipal interest and will be held next weekend with 70 teams participating in the different categories: First Ladies, First Gentlemen Sub 17 Ladies, Sub 14 Young Gentlemen and Mums.
This 9th edition of the championship boasts the largest number of participants to ever enrol, with teams from Comodoro Rivadavia, Rada Tilly, Caleta Olivia, Pico Truncado, Sarmiento, Esquel and El Chaltén.
Also, in February, the company will be sponsoring the 2017 Beach Volley National Championship, with competitors from all over the country.
Also Sponsoring Rugby
Last weekend, PAE sponsored the 17th Edition of the Sevens Rugby Championship from Patagonia, which was played in Rada Tilly beaches.
As part of the championship, Ramiro "Cumpa" Herrera, a pillar from Comodoro Rivadavia who played for Los Pumas, and José María Núñez Piossek, a former wing from the Argentine rugby team, both offered a rugby clinic for the youngest kids.
The president of Chenque Rugby Club, Juan Carlos Ana, thanked PAE for their support and that of the other sponsors and stated, "The club is delighted to have been able to organize this traditional sports event once again". He also highlighted, "the support given to us by all the local clubs and their players, who are always ready to participate in this event. This just underscores the close collaboration between the clubs in this community."
The Head of CSR for Golfo San Jorge at PAE, Horacio García, highlighted not only the number but the quality of sports events that will be held during the summer and observed, "PAE considers it a priority to support all those activities that reflect the values of our communities and that help improve their quality of life. We will continue to nurture and strengthen the bonds we have created with different sporting institutions in the country while working to improve the communities' well-being."
