To show its renewed commitment to the training of the young people in the Golfo San Jorge region, Pan American Energy (PAE) and St Andrew’s University (UdeSA) have launched a new edition of their Scholarship Program. This year, all students who are in their final year at state-run or private secondary schools, and those who completed their studies in 2015, will be able to apply. Next Wednesday July 6th at 7.00 pm there will be a presentation at the Liceo General Roca Auditorium, in Comodoro Rivadavia.
The “Pan American Energy - UdeSA” Scholarship Program is aimed at students from Comodoro Rivadavia, Rada Tilly, Sarmiento, Caleta Olivia and Pico Truncado who wish to obtain a scholarship that will allow them to pursue their studies at St Andrew’s University starting in 2017.
Candidates must be both Argentine-born citizens and permanent residents in one of the localities mentioned, among other requirements. The selection process will encompass several stages and applicants will have to sit for two exams in November. The decisive selection criterion will be the students’ academic performance on the entrance exam. Based on these results, PAE and St Andrew’s University will choose the beneficiaries.
The scholarship will cover 100 % of university tuition fees, accommodation and general expenses.
Pan American Energy and UdeSA have worked together since the year 2000 and their partnership has become stronger year after year. This specific program seeks to provide support to the young people in Golfo San Jorge who promote their proposals and change, who are interested in social concerns and who wish to develop their critical opinion and maximize their intellectual and human potential.
