Program to Improve Control of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAI)

Hospital-Acquired Infections are those infections contracted from the environment or staff of a healthcare facility which were not present at the time when the initial care was administered or when hospitalization occurred. To help prevent these infections, the company promoted a special program in the hospitals located in Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz), Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut), Neuquén and Tartagal (Salta). The program seeks to improve the provision of healthcare, with a focus on the adequate management, surveillance, control and reduction of HAIs, as well as better laboratory services, sterilization and hospital hygiene, healthcare training programs and the application of relevant protocols.

Nutrition in Action, to promote healthy habits

This program aims to provide school-age children with wholesome food that meets daily dietary requirements, and to promote healthy eating habits. Nutrition workshops are organized for the local inhabitants, where healthy eating habits are presented. As part of the program, every month, 6 schools from the Acambuco Valley (Salta) receive a supply of foodstuff. The initiative reaches 650 children from the schools in Piquirenda Fátima, Piquirenda Estación, Chorrito, Acambuco, Macueta and Campo Largo in the north of Salta.
